Frequently asked questions
Clarify the work before it starts.
Review common questions about source information, project scope, deliverables, revisions, and the way ACMS supports defined engineering work.

Answers for a more useful first conversation.
Every project still begins with a scope review because the available inputs, required output, and decision path differ.
Planning your project
Planning your project
What should I send to start a project?+
Describe the work, the current design stage, the deliverables you need, and your requested timing. Existing drawings, models, measurements, and photographs can help define the scope. Contact ACMS before transferring confidential or sensitive files.
Can I start with a sketch or an existing part?+
ACMS supports work from concept sketches and existing geometry, including reverse engineering. The first review determines whether the available measurements and reference material are sufficient, and identifies missing information.
What files will I receive?+
Deliverables depend on the service and agreed scope. They may include CAD models, drawing packages, bills of materials, or process documentation. Specify the software, file formats, and manufacturing requirements you need before work begins.
How are pricing and timing determined?+
Share the current state of the work, required outputs, and target date so ACMS can review the scope. Pricing and scheduling depend on that review; a requested date is not a confirmed delivery commitment.
How do revisions and new requirements work?+
Identify the affected deliverable, requested change, and reason for it. ACMS reviews the effect on scope, timing, and fees before changed work proceeds. Existing clients can use the project change request page to prepare an email.
Can we work together remotely?+
ACMS serves Tampa Bay and supports remote collaboration for defined engineering and documentation projects. Include your location and any on-site needs in the initial conversation.
